It doesn’t matter if you’re a home owner or a private tenant, you qualify for a government grant for improvements to your home’s insulation. Grants are available to cover the full cost of insulation, however even if you’re not eligible for a full grant, partial grants are available too.
Loft Insulation is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of improving the energy efficiency of your home. Most homes already have some loft insulation but the amount of money you could save on household heating bills depends on the thickness of your current loft insulation. An un-insulated home can lose up to a third of its heat through the walls. By insulating the cavity space between your internal wall and external brickwork you will reduce the amount of heat lost through the walls and therefore help to retain the heat in your home for longer.
